As I gazed at the ridgeline in the cool darkness, I felt my reality condense. I closed my eyes. My consciousness was stretched, and I felt myself pulled as though through a straw toward the large peaks above me. I opened my eyes. I was still on the ground. My emotions stirred, and I was filled with a great sense of loss. The mountains were calling, and I was stuck. I was where my feet were, but something inside of me longed to be striding across a technical line. I longed to be moving in the mountains.
This page is about pursuit. It will feature my reflections, stories of mountain adventures, poetry, art, essays, expression, experimentation, and collaboration. This final aspect is key. The work of other artists will be displayed here, in addition to my own. I seek to provide a platform that is centered on human connection. It’s lens? Mountain activity. Submissions of any style are perpetually welcome via the email below.
I’ll see you while we’re moving in the mountains. Cheers.
